Job Description
As a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of our industrial property portfolio. You will manage a portfolio of assets with a flexible hybrid work structure, requiring at least two/three days per week in our Hoboken, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate accounting records and perform monthly bank reconciliations. Enter, review, and post monthly accruals. Support property and asset managers with monthly variance reports and tenant billing reports. Oversee accounts payable to ensure correct G/L coding by the AP team. Monitor the accounts receivable process, including cash receipts and tenant billing adjustments. Review and validate recurring monthly rental billing reports for accuracy against budgets. Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations. Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as required.
Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant property accounting experience. Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Proficiency in Excel, including V-lookups, Pivot Tables, and Sum-ifs. Experience with Yardi software is required. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities. Ability to meet deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively. Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
