CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a well-established and growing non-profit/government-funded organization that is looking to add a Senior Grants Accountant. This organization is looking for someone professional that can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently. A minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in general accounting with non-profit and government accounting experience, is a big plus in addition to grant accounting experience.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE

$35/hr – $40/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW

Applicants for the Senior Grants Accountant role must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Our client is looking for previous experience with non-profit general accounting and grant accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR GRANTS ACCOUNTANT

Matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices.
Researching and resolving accounts payable with customers and vendors.
Updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR GRANTS ACCOUNTANT

Grant management experience, including non-profit accounting.
Government accounting experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable with independent work.
Strong Excel skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE SENIOR GRANTS ACCOUNTANT

Post-grants processing and CFR 200 experience. Experience with ERP software is a plus.
Experience with non-profit and government software accounting is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience are preferred.
