Accountant 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 5720 Cummings Road, Akron, NY 14001 The accountant is responsible for processing and analyzing all accounting related duties of the park . This includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Collections, Financial Statements, Budgets, Billing, Account Reconciliations, Payroll, Human Resources, Taxes and Audits.
JOB DUTIES
- Ensure complete and accurate accounting records.
- Complete the accounts payable cycle by managing vendor accounts, entering, and paying vendor invoices timely.
- Enter daily deposits and apply cash receipts to leaseholder accounts.
- Ensure leaseholder accounts are up to date and if the account is in arrears, begin the collection process as dictated by policy.
- Prepare weekly payroll and associated payroll and HR reports.
- Prepare monthly close process and ensure financials statements are timely, accurate and efficient.
- Prepare monthly reconcilations of balance sheet accounts (to include but not limited to petty cash, bank accounts, etc.)
- Correlate with Attorney on all documentation needed for collection and eviction matters.
- Process invoices to leaseholders (including late fees, bi-annual M&U invoices, etc.)
- Enforce accounting policy as it relates to the finances of the park.
- Invoice Sales Office (5720) monthly for electric, propane, phone usage, payroll, payroll taxes and general liability insurance and real estate taxes as needed.
- Work with Committee leads (i.e. ACC, Adult Activities, Fundraising, Teen Center, etc.) by recording/processing financial activity and conducting financial analysis.
- Prepare monthly budget breakdown reports.
- In conjunction with the Finance Committee Chairperson, participate in the annual budgeting process by preparing the annual budget worksheets and complete a draft budget to ensure a successful budget season.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with the 5720 Sales office as it relates to potential or current leaseholders, evictions or the processing of aged M&U funds.
- Inform the Board Treasurers as to the financial condition and needs of LCI, 5720 and the park.
- Assist CPA firm with audits and taxes, filing and submitting tax returns and payments timely.
- Reconcile the petty cash and verify against the petty cash account by working with the Office Manager monthly.
- Work with the General Manager to address IT issues and upgrades for the accounting system.
- Provide other reports as requested or required.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years accounting experience
- Experience with QuickBooks preferred

$60,450.00 – $66,000.00 per year
