We are looking for an accountant to be a leader in taking us to the next level!
Key Responsibilities:
Managing Financial Transactions:
This includes tracking incoming and outgoing payments, managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Generating Financial Reports:
Producing reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to inform decision-making.
Providing Tax Planning and Preparation:
Assisting with ensuring compliance with tax laws, preparing tax returns with outside Firm, and identifying available tax deductions. Managing Trust Accounts (IOLTA):
Meticulously handling funds held on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical requirements, and conducting three-way reconciliation.
Reconciling Accounts:
Balancing various accounts, including bank accounts, to the general ledger.
Payroll Processing:
Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for staff and attorneys.
Maintaining Accurate Records:
Ensuring all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and specific legal accounting standards.
Financial Advice and Strategy:
Offering insights to improve financial management, optimize revenue, and plan for future growth.
E-Billing Management:
Managing electronic billing systems to ensure efficient and accurate billing practices.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Accounting Expertise:
Thorough understanding of accounting principles for a fast growing business.
Financial Software Proficiency:
Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks. Attention to
Detail:
Meticulous record-keeping and accuracy in financial entries are crucial.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights.
Communication Skills:
Clearly and effectively communicating financial information to legal staff.
Confidentiality:
Maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive financial data.
Salary Range:
Salary commensurate with experience. $65,000 to $85,000.
