Temporary Job Summary
This role is a temporary position for the summer. Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities of this position would include Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Variance Analysis, Forecasting, Journal Entries and Budgeting. In addition, this position would support in the providing of data to both Internal Audit and External Audit. This role is a temporary position that will work a hybrid schedule based out of our Westbury, NY office. An employee in this position can expect an annual starting rate between $20 and $23 an hour depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. What You Do
- Prepare Monthly Account Reconciliations.
- Prepare Monthly Variance Analysis.
- Prepare Monthly Journal Entries.
- Prepare Monthly Real Estate Tax invoices that are directly paid to municipalities.
- Prepare Monthly Utility invoices for payment.
- Review and process landlord statements for escrow changes.
- Prepare invoice uploads for the payment process.
- Review and prepare all Occupancy vendor additions and changes.
- Assist in gathering supporting documents of all external/internal/financial audits.
- Perform day-to-day responsibilities. (Light filing, scanning lease modifications and open, sort, and distribute mail.
- Assist with any ad-hoc projects.
- Complies at all times with the Standards, policies and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics set out in the Bookseller Handbook Knowledge & Experience
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
- One years’ work experience in the accounting field with analysis experience
- Proficient Excel Skills
