Overview We are looking for a senior grants accountant for our prestigious university client on a project basis. This role hybrid requiring 2 days a week in the office located in Manhattan, NY and the project is expected to complete in 4 months. Responsibilities Support the cash recovery process for thousands of individual federal awards funded under individual letter of credit agreements
Calculate cash drawdowns for each letter of credit federal award based on the analysis of cumulative and current expenditures per Federal regulations and University policies and budgets
Prepare supporting documentation for the posting of sponsored project cash receipts to the appropriate project
Reconcile payments and accounts receivable balances
Coordinate activity with other members of the finance team ensuring that cash receipts are posted to individual awards on a timely basis Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
5+ years of relevant technical accounting experience
Experience in the education field preferred
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
