Payroll Accountant Position Available In Onondaga, New York

Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in East Syracuse, New York. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage payroll functions while providing backup support as needed. Responsibilities:

• Process sales commissions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide backup support for payroll tasks when necessary.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently.
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Assist with month-end close procedures to finalize accounting records.
• Utilize financial software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to complete tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll accounting or a related role.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and QuickBooks.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Skilled in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger accounts.
• Ability to handle journal entries and assist with month-end closing procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
