We are seeking an experienced andpassionate Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and innovativefinance team. This is an incredible opportunity for an individualwho thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment, and who iseager to make a significant impact on our organization’s financialoperations. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible foroverseeing a wide range of accounting and financial tasks,including accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation,budgeting, and forecasting. You will also be expected to have acomprehensive understanding of GAAP and Union Payroll.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilitieswill include but are not limited to: 1. Overseeing and managing allgeneral ledger accounting, including accounts payable, accountsreceivable, and account reconciliation. 2. Ensuring compliance withall GAAP regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of anychanges to these regulations. 3. Managing Union Payroll, includingprocessing payments, maintaining records, and resolving anypayroll-related issues. 4. Developing and maintaining annualbudgets, as well as conducting regular budget reviews to identifycost-saving opportunities. 5. Conducting financial forecasting topredict future revenue and expenditure trends and aid in financialplanning. 6. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports forsenior management. 7. Identifying and resolving any discrepanciesor irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports. 8.Collaborating with finance team members and other departments toimprove financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
To qualifyfor the role of Senior Accountant, you must possess the following:1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus. 2. A minimum of 5years of experience in a similar role, preferably within thefinance industry. 3. Proven experience with accounts payable,accounts receivable, GAAP, Union Payroll, account reconciliation,budgeting, and forecasting. 4. Excellent numerical skills andattention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality. 5.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability tomake well-judged decisions. 6. Proficiency in using accountingsoftware and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 7.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 8. Aproactive approach to work, with the ability to manage multipletasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
