Staff Accountant Location:

Tarrytown – 3 days in office.

Compensation:

$80,000-$90,000 depending on experience. CFS haspartnered with a local CPG company that is seeking an experiencedand detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their accountingteam. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid accountingbackground who is eager to contribute to their financial integrityand efficiency. The Senior Accountant will play a key role inmanaging reconciliations, journal entries, and account analyseswhile ensuring compliance with internal controls. This positionwill also act as a backup for Accounts Payable, providing vitalsupport for the department’s operations.

Responsibilities:

Reconcile all balance sheet accountsmonthly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals andadjustments, to support accurate financial reporting. Investigateand resolve discrepancies through detailed analysis andcommunication with relevant teams. Develop and manage schedules formonth-end close, ensuring timeliness and completeness. OverseeAmerican Express credit card charges, ensuring proper coding andcompliance with internal policies. Provide backup support forAccounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, andreconciliation. Bank reconciliations. Analysis of reports,financial statements, etc. Ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
