Accountant Position Available In Berks, Pennsylvania

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Reading, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract opportunity for an individual with expertise in financial management and accounting processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools to streamline financial operations and reporting.
• Conduct audits to assess financial records and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to support organizational goals.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and maintain proper documentation.
• Develop and implement Excel formulas to enhance data analysis and reporting efficiency.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors regarding financial transactions and inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Provide support for process improvement initiatives related to accounting systems and workflows. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, ERP platforms, and tools such as ADP, Concur, and Cl Programming.
• Hands-on experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong auditing skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including the creation and use of complex formulas.
• Familiarity with balance sheet accounts and financial statement preparation.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
