Accountant 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Richlandtown, PA 18955 • Hybrid work We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team in Richlandtown, Pennsylvania. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative and detail-oriented environment. After training, there is flexibility for remote work two days a week.

Responsibilities:

Manage customer accounts by generating invoices, processing payments, reconciling balances, and preparing accounts receivable aging reports. Ensure compliance with domestic and international sales and use tax regulations, including preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining exemption certificates, and supporting audits. Oversee fixed assets by accurately recording acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation while maintaining ledgers and performing regular reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes, including reviewing, recording, and reconciling transactions to ensure accurate reporting. Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and addressing inquiries. Develop and maintain business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls. Create ad hoc reports and perform detailed financial analyses as requested by management. Proficiency in ERP systems and general accounting functions. Strong experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. Familiarity with auditing practices and balance sheet account management. Expertise in fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and reconciliation. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with NetSuite and Avalara Tax is a plus.
