Job Summary:
Our client in West Chester, PA is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant on a contract basis to support their accounting operations during a peak period. The ideal candidate will be experienced in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative finance team and gain exposure to a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes Perform bank and account reconciliations Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Analyze and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis Prepare documentation for audits and internal reviews Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of general accounting experience Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work both independently and within a team Strong communication and organizational skills Experience in a contract or project-based environment is a plus Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
