Job Description

Bank Reconciliation Specialist 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Chester, PA 19016 $65K-$75K 10% annual performance-based bonus. 100% in-office position- Chester, PA comprehensive benefits package, The Bank Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for the daily reconciliation of the organization’s corporate general ledgers and bank statements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical abilities, keen attention to detail, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

Reconcile corporate bank statements and general ledger accounts on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy through detailed review, discrepancy resolution, and documentation. Post journal entries and coordinate with internal departments to ensure financial data integrity across all systems. Maintain comprehensive records of reconciliation processes and support audits or internal reviews with clear, organized documentation. Recommend and implement enhancements to reconciliation and ledger processes to improve accuracy and operational efficiency. Assist in shaping and updating internal accounting policies and procedures to align with regulatory standards and best practices. Perform additional accounting duties and support finance-related projects as needed to help meet organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and financial reconciliations. Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data manipulation, and pivot tables. Deep understanding of core accounting principles and general ledger functions. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Capable of working independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.
