Cost Accountant Position Available In Lackawanna, Pennsylvania

Job Title:

Senior Cost Accountant Job Description This role involves preparing standard costs, tracking and analyzing variances, and supporting strategic decision-making with accurate financial data. You will work cross-functionally with operations, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cost accuracy, support forecasting, and maintain ERP system integrity. Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and report on cost accounting data for approximately 200 SKUs. Prepare and maintain standard costs; track variances against standards and prepare associated journal entries. Investigate discrepancies in financial data systems and perform variance reconciliation. Reconcile and report on manufacturing variances at the Moosic facility, including labor and material usage variances. Analyze and report on brand-level variances, identifying key cost drivers. Support senior analyst with ‘what-if’ cost modeling for new and future products. Maintain and update standard costs in Oracle ERP system. Prepare budget variance reports using multiple data sources across departments. Support ad hoc reporting and analysis needs as required. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 – $110000.00/yr.
