Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant assists with the day-to-day accounting activities related to GHGpliance reporting, ESR data management, and hedge accounting. This role is responsible for transaction-level tracking, data entry, reconciliation, and supporting documentation preparation to maintain regulatory and financial reportingpliance.

Essential Function:

Record and maintain accurate GHG-related accounting transactions, including volumes, credits, and offsets.
Assist in preparing regulatory filings and reports for GHG programs.
Assist with data correlation, gathering, validation and testing to support ESR reporting requirements.
Support monthly and quarterly hedge accounting activities:
Gather data for mark-to-market assessments and margin call processes.
Assist in preparing journal entries and reconciliations for hedge and derivative transactions.
Maintainanized, audit-ready documentation for disclosures.
Collaborate with the senior accountant and supervisor to ensure deadlines are met and reporting isplete and accurate.

Skills Foundational accounting knowledge:

Applied knowledge and experience with

UG GAAP, SAP

ECC, and applicable state GHG regulations.
Detail orientation: Ability to ensure accuracy in data entry, reconciliations, and support documentation.
Excel proficiency: working knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
Willingness to learn: Eagerness to gain knowledge in ESG, regulatory, and hedge accounting topics.
Organizational skills: ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a structured manner.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA preferred but not required.
1 -2 years of accounting experience,
