Property Accountant Position Available In Montgomery, Pennsylvania

A real estate investment firm is seeking a 

• Property Accountant
• to join their growing accounting and finance team.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in general ledger accounting, property financial reporting, and CAM reconciliations.

The Property Accountant will oversee a portfolio of commercial real estate properties and handle day-to-day accounting functions including journal entries, variance analysis, and monthly reporting. You’ll collaborate closely with the asset management and property operations teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial or multifamily properties
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Complete month-end close tasks including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Perform CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and tenant billings
• Analyze budget-to-actual variances and explain key fluctuations
• Support year-end audit requests and tax package preparation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with asset management and property operations teams
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
• Ensure accurate recording of capital expenditures, fixed assets, and depreciation
• Work within Yardi (or similar) property management/accounting software
