I, FATCA SEI
parental leave, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401(k), retirement plan United States, Pennsylvania, Oaks 1 Freedom Valley Drive (Show on map) Jun 17, 2025 SEI Regulatory Services (RS) is seeking a Specialist for our Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) team. SEI RS helps investment managers and institutions meet reporting and compliance requirements for pooled vehicles, alternative vehicles, separate accounts, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and more-benefiting from a unique data warehouse approach, team of industry experts, and a single comprehensive platform. The primary goal of the FATCA team is to provide exceptional customer service and ensure the successful and accurate administrative servicing for assigned clients’ hedge and private equity funds. This position may be eligible to be performed in a fully remote fashion, from a home office in Pennsylvania, or in a hybrid fashion (at an SEI office 3+ days/week and from a home office up to 2 days/week). Remote FATCA Specialists may occasionally be required to travel to SEI’s corporate headquarters in Oaks, PA.
What you will do:
Review tax certification forms for completeness and appropriateness
Validate document accuracy against client-provided account information and tax treaty benefits claimed, identifying and resolving any exceptions
Identify and classify payees, for FATCA/CRS and other tax reporting and withholding purposes
Identify U.S. indicia in initial on-boarding documentation
Monitor assigned funds for changes and perform additional diligence, as regulations require
Interpret policy and regulations and manage day to day activities accordingly
Leverage your subject matter expertise and the team’s tools and process documents, to take judicious and appropriate risks, when decision-making is required; appropriately escalate exceptions, if additional resource knowledge or special consideration is needed
Collaborate with various functional teams to ensure quality of service and identify opportunities for process improvement and value-added enhancements for clients
Support regulatory Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requests, as necessary
Attend and actively participate in ongoing training opportunities to deepen your subject matter expertise and continue your professional development, within the unit and broader organization What we need from you: BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent experience
2+ years’ experience in a relevant transfer agency or investor services role
A fundamental understanding of investment principles, terminology and technology
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Initiative and detail-orientation to balance responsibilities, navigate competing priorities, and deliver timely, accurate and complete work, under tight deadlines, with limited supervision What we would like from you: Minimum 2 years of FATCA experience/tax background preferred
In-depth knowledge of alternative investments/hedge funds, private banking, mutual funds, investment advisory, asset management and investment processing
Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and soft skills
