Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintainingfinancial records, preparing journal entries, performing accountreconciliations, assisting with month-end and year-end closeprocesses, and supporting audits. This role plays a key part inensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financialdata.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and post journal entries forgeneral ledger accounts. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, andother balance sheet accounts. Assist in month-end and year-endclosing activities. Maintain and update fixed asset schedules anddepreciation entries. Analyze financial data to identify trends,discrepancies, or variances. Prepare supporting documentation foraudits and financial reporting. Assist with budget preparation andvariance analysis. Ensure compliance with internal policies andaccounting standards (e.g., GAAP). Collaborate with otherdepartments to gather information and support financial processes.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payrollfunctions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree inAccounting, Finance, or related field. 1-3 years of relevantaccounting experience. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accountingsoftware (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle). Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with a highlevel of accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and work bothindependently and as part of a team.
