$55,000 – $72,500 per year A bit about us: We are a FortWashington-area Tax firm w/ about 30 employees and more clientsthan we can handle, so we are seeking a 0-2 year Staff TaxAccountant to jumpstart their career and hopefully stay a long timeand grow into management! Staff Tax Accountant Overview:
Join our laidback/fun team, a leading tax advisory firm serving high net-worthindividuals (HNWIs), partnerships, and small businesses in theGreater Philadelphia area (Montgomery County). This is an excitingopportunity for an entry-level professional with 0-3 years ofexperience to kick-start their career in tax accounting. As a StaffTax Accountant, you’ll work alongside seasoned professionals in acollaborative and supportive environment, gaining hands-onexperience in tax compliance, preparation, and client service.
KeyResponsibilities:
Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Assist in thepreparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, smallbusinesses, and other entities, under the guidance of senior teammembers. Compile and organize client financial data, supportingdocuments, and tax schedules for accurate and timely completion oftax filings. Review tax forms for completeness and accuracy,identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification as needed toensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Client Support andCommunication:
Collaborate with team members to address clientinquiries, requests, and concerns related to tax filings,deadlines, and documentation requirements. Communicate effectivelywith clients to gather necessary information, explain tax concepts,and provide exceptional service throughout the engagement process.
Build positive relationships with clients by deliveringhigh-quality work, demonstrating professionalism, and maintainingconfidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Research andAnalysis:
Conduct basic tax research on relevant tax laws,regulations, and rulings to support tax compliance and planningefforts. Analyze client financial data and tax documents toidentify potential tax deductions, credits, and opportunities fortax savings. Prepare working papers, tax memos, and otherdocumentation to support tax positions and ensure compliance withreporting requirements.
Professional Development:
Participate intraining sessions, seminars, and professional developmentopportunities to enhance technical skills, tax knowledge, andindustry expertise. Seek guidance and feedback from senior teammembers to continuously improve performance, expand knowledge, andgrow professionally within the firm. Stay updated on changes in taxlaws, regulations, and accounting standards to maintain proficiencyand adapt to evolving client needs and industry trends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, orrelated field required. 0-3 years of experience in accounting, taxpreparation, or related field; entry-level candidates are welcometo apply. Basic understanding of federal, state, and local tax lawsand regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite,particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong analytical andproblem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the abilityto work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
