Property Accountant Position Available In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Job Summary:

The Property Accountant is responsible formaintaining the financial records of a portfolio of properties,ensuring accuracy in general ledger activities, producing monthlyfinancial statements, and supporting property managers withfinancial reporting and analysis. This role ensures compliance withcompany policies, lease agreements, and applicable accountingstandards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly,quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.

Maintain general ledger activity including journal entries,accruals, and account reconciliations. Perform bank reconciliationsand monitor cash activity for assigned properties. Record tenantbilling transactions, including rent, CAM (Common AreaMaintenance), real estate taxes, and other charges per leaseagreements. Review and reconcile tenant accounts, including billingadjustments and delinquencies. Assist in the preparation of annualbudgets and monthly variance analysis. Manage CAM reconciliationsand ensure timely billing and collection. Prepare audit schedulesand support external audits as needed. Work closely with propertymanagers to review financial performance and support operations.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with GAAP andinternal policies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,Finance, or related field. 2-5 years of accounting experience,preferably in property or real estate accounting. Strongunderstanding of accrual accounting and lease administration.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, RealPage,AppFolio, or similar). Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs,etc.). Detail-oriented with excellent analytical andproblem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities andmeet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
