Overview:
We’re currently partnering with a well-established national infrastructure services firm to identify a Staff Accountant II with strong general ledger, reporting, and month-end close experience. This role is ideal for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience who is ready to step into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with long-term growth potential. Key Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Maintain general ledger accounts and assist in ensuring accuracy and completeness Investigate and resolve discrepancies between production systems and the general ledger Perform detailed account analysis and explain significant variances or unusual activity Review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with accounting policies Run and validate P&L reports for regional field operations Prepare and validate data for monthly reporting packages Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill data requests and ad hoc reports Assist with quarterly and annual reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of relevant accounting experience Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with general ledger systems Ability to manage competing priorities and large data sets with accuracy Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and organized Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter who thrives in collaborative environments
