Job Description

Cost Accountant/Estimator LeFevre 7, LLC 777 Cherry Tree Court, Hanover, PA 17331 The Cost Accountant/Estimator is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate cost estimates and pricing models for automotive lift and garage equipment projects. The role supports quoting for installations, repairs, and inspections, and ensures consistency with established pricing structures and profitability targets. It involves coordination with service, sales, and purchasing teams, as well as the maintenance of cost data and supporting documentation.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Analyze project specifications, service requests, and historical data to develop comprehensive cost estimates for automotive lift and garage equipment jobs. Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and other costs, and present estimates to customers and internal stakeholders. Collaborate with sales, service, and purchasing teams to gather inputs, validate pricing assumptions, and ensure alignment with operational capabilities. Maintain and update cost models, pricing templates, and vendor databases to ensure accuracy and consistency in quoting. Track and analyze quote performance, including win/loss trends, to inform pricing strategies and improve estimating accuracy. Support cost accounting functions such as standard cost updates, margin analysis, and variance reporting. Utilize Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (NetSuite) to manage estimates, track costs, and generate reports. Provide responsive customer service by addressing inquiries related to quotes, pricing, and service options. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to service operations. Participate in the development and refinement of estimating procedures and cost control processes. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience in cost accounting, finance, or estimating, required. Experience in a service environment, preferred. Strong understanding of cost structures, margin analysis, and pricing strategies. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis); experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, for cost tracking, quoting, and reporting. Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain organization in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment High attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations and documentation.
