We are on thehunt for a dynamic and experienced Property Accountant. This is anexciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment andcontribute to the financial success of our diverse portfolio ofproperties. The successful candidate will be responsible for allaspects of property accounting, including preparation of financialstatements, budgeting, forecasting, lease administration, andvariance analysis. This is a permanent, full-time position offeringa competitive compensation package and the opportunity for careergrowth.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of accounting andfinancial reporting for a portfolio of properties. 2. Prepare andreview monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements inaccordance with GAAP. 3. Perform budgeting, forecasting, andvariance analysis for each property. 4. Oversee leaseadministration, including the calculation of rent increases, tenantbillings, and reconciliations. 5. Coordinate with property managersand other team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting. 6.Handle year-end audit processes and tax return preparation. 7.Utilize MRI and Yardi software to streamline accounting processesand improve efficiency. 8. Ensure all financial transactions areproperly recorded, filed, and reported. 9. Implement and maintaininternal financial controls and procedures.
Qualifications:
1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2.Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, preferablyin the Mortgage industry. 3. Proficiency in MRI and Yardiaccounting software is a must. 4. Strong understanding of GAAP,financial statements, and property operations. 5. Excellentanalytical skills with a strong attention to detail. 6. Ability tomanage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 7.Strong verbal and written communication skills. 8. Proficient inMicrosoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. 9. Strong interpersonalskills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.10. CPA certification is a plus.
