Staff Accountant Position Available In Providence, Rhode Island

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Providence, Rhode Island. Responsibilities:

• Process non-patient billing transactions with precision and timeliness.
• Manage expense reimbursements and employee advance requests, ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Organize and input lease data by pulling necessary documentation and entering information accurately.
• Set up new client accounts and maintain updated records in the financial system.
• Perform month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) records.
• Execute bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
• Oversee general ledger activities and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Prepare journal entries and analyze financial statements as part of standard accounting practices. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Skilled in performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash flow records.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger activities and preparing journal entries.
• Strong understanding of month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• Ability to handle lease accounting and input data with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with creating client accounts and maintaining financial systems.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
