$47.3K – $59.2K a year 20 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Qualifications Microsoft Excel 5 years Bachelor’s degree Accounting General ledger accounting Senior level Accounting Full Job Description The Accountant is responsible for assisting the CFO with the accounting activities of the department. This position will maintain an accurate accounting system by daily general ledger management, AR, AP including reconciling and analyzing various accounts and maintaining internal controls. Job Functions Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of the general ledger, including month end close and accruals. Prepare all journal entries related to medical, dental and pharmaceutical transactions Formulate the monthly Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Statement that is presented to the Finance Committee. Perform monthly reconciliations on all appropriate general ledger accounts. Assist with the year-end audit process. Perform other accounting related duties and special projects when needed. Skills Proficiency in Excel Prior use of general ledger software Experience within the month end close process Minimum of Five Years in accounting field. Healthcare is preferable but not required Education Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
