Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and improve cost systems across various plant locations Roll standard and current costs, ensuring accuracy across products Review Bills of Material (BOM) and collaborate with departments to ensure integrity Analyze material, labor, and overhead absorption for financial impact Prepare productivity and efficiency reports for management Identify and evaluate excess and obsolete inventory, recommending appropriate actions Perform journal entries and other month-end closing procedures Reconcile inventory-related general ledger accounts Oversee and coordinate physical inventory counts and reconciliation Generate gross profit and product mix analysis reports Maintain transfer pricing documentation and support compliance Review departmental budgets and monitor spending Support cost-related aspects of product line transitions and special projects Lead and mentor junior cost accounting staff Complete additional reports and ad hoc tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3–5 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing Strong working knowledge of Excel Experience with Hyperion, Smartview, BAAN, Crystal, or Oracle preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in teams
