Job Description
CHOMARAT
North America is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to oversee product costing, variance analysis, and inventory reporting. This role involves monitoring cost variance, maintaining cost standards for materials and and labor, and reporting on cost of goods sold (COGS). The Cost Accountant will support manufacturing process improvement and ERP system development initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and validate bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and standard costs
- Conduct cost variance analyses and report results
- Support annual budgeting process, including labor and overhead rate calculations
- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting activities
- Assist in manufacturing process reviews and cost-savings initiatives
- Serve as backup coverage for general ledger accounting and production inventory control

EVNIRONMENT
- Primarily office-based with occasional work in manufacturing environments
- Regular in-town travel; rare out-of-town travel may be required when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Industrial Engineering or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience in manufacturing environment required
- At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting in a related industry, preferred
- Experience with ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics AX or Business Central, preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e. Outlooks, Excel, etc.) required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities required, along with the ability to effectively communicate and present information
