We re looking for a Government Accountant who will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our public funds and compliance with financial regulations. What You ll Do As our Government Accountant, you ll be responsible for a variety of accounting and finance tasks essential to our agency s fiscal health and transparency. Your work will help ensure that public funds are properly tracked, audited, and used efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze financial documents, prepare budgets and reports, assist and perform audits and assure compliance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Review financial reports prepared by other accountants for accuracy Process, review, and accurately code invoices and expenditures Perform regular account and bank reconciliations Monitor and manage revenue and expenditure accounts Calculate, file, and maintain sales tax records Assist with the development and administration of departmental budgets Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors Maintain and implement financial policies and procedures Provide recommendations to improve cost-efficiency and financial performance Stay current with government accounting standards and legislative updates Assist with year-end closeout and other fiscal year processes What We re Looking For We re seeking a professional who s not only technically skilled but also enthusiastic about working as a critical member of our team.

Qualifications:
