Cost Accountant-Manufacturing Analyst Valley Forge Flag Company Moncks Corner, SC 29461 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant who will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of manufacturing operations by tracking and analyzing costs, inventory, budgeting, and forecasting associated with our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, cost management strategies and works closely with manufacturing related costs of processes! Responsibilities Prepare and maintain accurate cost records and reports to support decision-making processes. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in material and labor costs. Recommends changes to processes and policies to improve data capture and reporting. Works with Operations personnel to ensure timely and accurate shop floor reporting. Conduct thorough analysis of costs related to production, operations, and other business activities. Collaborate with various departments to gather data for cost management initiatives. Provide technical accounting support for cost-related queries and issues. Develop cost management strategies to optimize resource allocation and improve profitability. Ensures integrity of inventory balances. Develops product standard costs Evaluates accuracy of Bills of Material and Labor Routings. Oversees Bills of Materials and Labor Routing maintenance. Supports Month-end process. Skills Solid understanding of cost management techniques and related accounting practices. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data collection and interpretation. Ability to work with little oversight; self-starter. Solid understanding of Information Systems and MS Excel. Must be comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the business. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree in finance, business or related field. 5 – 7 years’ proven experience in operational accounting. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly Worked in a manufacturing environment. Shop floor reporting experience. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be comfortable spending prolonged time on the manufacturing floor. Willing to travel to outside facilities in SC and PA as needed.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
