Staff Accountant Position Available In Berkeley, South Carolina

Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Goose Creek, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall accounting operations of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing company and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger accounts, to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing relevant financial data and analysis.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Conduct variance analyses and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
• Maintain and update accounting systems to reflect current financial activities. Requirements
• Proven experience in general accounting or a related role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in financial data management.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in Goose Creek, South Carolina.
