$44.7K – $54.6K a year 22 hours ago Benefits Wellness program Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off 401(k) 4% Match Vision insurance 401(k) matching Gym membership Life insurance Qualifications Mid-level Finance High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree Accounting 2 years Accounting Full Job Description Job Purpose Auro Hotels is seeking an experienced and self-directed Area Accountant to lead and manage all accounting operations for four Charleston-area hotels: Courtyard Charleston Waterfront, Residence Inn Riverview, SpringHill Suites Riverview, and TownePlace Suites Charleston Airport/Convention Center. Marriott Fosse experience is preferred. This position ensures the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reporting and compliance across all properties. Essential Job Functions Oversee all daily accounting functions, including deposit audits, reconciliations, and financial controls across multiple properties. Manage the preparation and consolidation of daily deposits; ensure timely bank transfers and secure handling of funds. Maintain and reconcile cash, safe balances, and petty cash funds. Monitor and report daily overages/shortages; investigate discrepancies and ensure resolution. Ensure accurate and timely posting of financial data to accounting systems, including Fosse and SBT. Enforce adherence to financial procedures and internal controls in alignment with company policies. Support monthly close processes, reconciliations, and audits as required. Serve as the accounting point of contact for the area, partnering with property leadership to maintain fiscal discipline and operational alignment. Potential financial assistance for the college education of children of qualified associates. Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
