Key Responsibilities of Cost Accountant:
Conduct cost audits and financial analysis to support business operations. Investigate cost variances (IPV/PPV) , identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions and process improvements. Support inventory management by analyzing valuation, forecasting, and reconciliation activities. Oversee the physical inventory process , ensuring accuracy in reporting and cycle counts.
What You Bring:
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) and experience in financial modeling. Familiarity with Oracle is a plus. A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively. Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data. Must be local to Charleston, SC, as this role requires onsite work 4-5 days per week .
