Project Accountant Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Accountant One of our construction clients located on Daniel Island, SC is looking to add an Accountant to their team! Responsibilities Review and process vendor invoices daily. Import, code, route, and post invoices in a paperless environment. Create batches of invoices for payment and process checks. Handle subcontractor compliance, including lien waivers and insurance certificates. Assist with financial management, job costing, and general ledger tasks. Record general ledger journal entries as needed. Assist with job cost tracking and project financial performance. Monitor and enforce internal controls to mitigate financial risk. Assist with payroll, direct deposit, and administrative tasks. Essential Skills 3-5+ years of accounts payable experience. Experience in accounting, invoicing, and general ledger. Skills in reconciliation, month end, and journal entry. Proficiency in accounts receivable and balance sheet management. Experience with project accounting and job costing. Experience in the construction industry with AIA, lien waivers, and subcontractor management is preferred. Proven job tenure and general accounting experience, including GL, JE, reconciliations, payroll, and month end.. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with reasonable flexibility, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
