Construction Accounting ProCore Full Job Description Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our accounting team. This full-time, on-site role is integral to the financial health and operational success of our projects and will support a region of our multi-state company. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction accounting skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage project financials from start to finish, including cost reporting, receivables, and payables Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices in coordination with project managers Prepare and maintain project billings, lien waivers, and change orders and prepare monthly cost reviews Reconcile job costs and accounts payable entries to ensure accuracy Support month-end close procedures and reporting Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting Maintain detailed and organized project documentation and accounting records Assist with audits and compliance as needed

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry Strong understanding of job cost accounting and project financial management Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook Experience with construction accounting software is a plus (e.g., Sage, Procore) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate effectively Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
