Sr. Accountant Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Daniel Island, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle key accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. This position provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in financial reporting and account management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.
• Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper classification of financial transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of daily and monthly accounting processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze financial reports.
• Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Monitor and maintain accounting records to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Assist in preparing documentation for audits and other financial reviews. Requirements
• Proven experience in account reconciliation and financial statement preparation.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet and bank reconciliation practices.
• Proficiency in managing general ledger operations and journal entries.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
