Sr. Accountant Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, providing insightful analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise in cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting will play a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations, ensuring all balances are supported by appropriate documentation.
• Develop and manage forecasting and budgeting processes on both monthly and annual bases for the business unit.
• Provide detailed financial analysis to business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
• Apply knowledge of cost accounting to monitor and evaluate financial data.
• Generate financial and management reports to deliver key insights.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including identifying and addressing unethical activities.
• Safeguard sensitive information such as business strategies, payroll data, and financial records.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools and software.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with business leaders and teams.
