Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial operations efficiently.
- Generate detailed financial reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in special projects as needed to support the finance department.
- Proven experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Proficiency in general ledger functions and journal entry preparation.
- Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze complex data sets.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
