Job Description
Staff Accountant
We are looking for a Staff Accountant in the restaurant industry, based in Charleston, South Carolina. This role focuses on processing customer applications, maintaining accurate records, resolving inquiries, and managing account activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Update and maintain accurate customer records.
Complete month-end closing tasks, including preparing and reviewing financial statements.
Oversee property-related administrative duties, such as correspondence, license applications/renewals, and property tax tracking/payments.
Provide backup support to other accountants as needed.
Manage sales tax and accommodation tax returns for properties.
Input journal entries into the accounting system.
Monitor bank account balances and handle weekly payables/check runs.
Assist with requests for information from properties or related parties.

- Proficiency in performing Month-end Close Activities is essential.
- Capability to produce Month-end Financial reports accurately and punctually.
- Experience in creating Month-end Journal Entries is required.
- Must have a strong understanding and ability to execute Month End Close procedures.
- Demonstrated skills in Financial Statement Preparation are necessary.
