Job Title:

Staff Accountant (Settlement Specialist) Job Description The Settlement Specialist plays a crucial role in reconciling general ledgers for accounts and providing management with daily outage and statistical reports. This position involves researching and resolving credit and debit card settlement adjustments, preparing journal voucher entries, and balancing accounts. The Specialist will partner with co-workers to clear exceptions and take phone calls from retail sales teammates to assist with complex issues affecting members. Job Responsibilities Reconcile general ledgers for accounts. Provide management with daily outage and statistical reports. Research and resolve credit card settlement adjustments. Reconcile cash advances and partner with co-workers to clear exceptions. Prepare journal voucher entries for posting and balance accounts. Research and resolve debit card settlement exceptions. Assist retail sales teammates with complex issues affecting members. Validate ATM cash delivery to cash orders and provide appropriate general ledger entries. Essential Skills Heavy reconciliation experience is a major part of this role. Advanced Excel skills are essential Must have experience with general ledger reconciliation (handling 10-15 different GLs per day). About 2+ years of related experience is required,. Comfortable posting journal entries, averaging around 10 per day. Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting mindset. Strong communication skills to build relationships and reconcile team members’ work. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Work Environment The work environment is hybrid, with three days onsite and two days remote, offering flexibility in scheduling Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.44 – $28.84/hr.
