Commensurate with Experience We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to join our small, close-knit family office in Charleston, SC. This role will primarily support a portfolio of businesses in the food and beverage industry, and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a dynamic environment, and brings strong accounting fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform standard accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings Maintain and organize financial records across multiple business entities Help prepare financial reports for internal stakeholders Reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure accuracy across business units Collaborate with management to support budgeting and forecasting Communicate with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of accounting experience Proficient in QuickBooks and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is a plus Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred, but not required with sufficient experience Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a self-starter mindset Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities
