Senior Accounting Supervisor
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Supervisor to join our team in Cheraw, South Carolina. In this long-term contract role, you will oversee critical accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial standards and accuracy in all reporting. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Supervise the daily operations of the accounting team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
- Develop and implement financial controls and reporting processes to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support internal audits and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Monitor and manage accounting systems to ensure they meet organizational needs and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor accounting staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial planning activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations to maintain compliance.
- Proven experience in accounting supervision or a similar role, with a strong focus on balance sheet reconciliation.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
