This position will report to the Vice President of Finance with minimal supervision. This position will apply accounting principles and practices to a range of accounting, budgeting, and other fiscal functions. The Accountant I role requires knowledge of theories, principles, practices, and terminology of accountancy. Essential Functions Prepare special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. Coordinate with team members including third-party servicers on the daily transactions. Analyze and process loan forgiveness applications. Assists with all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable transactions. Coordinate, prepare, and assist with daily and monthly processing of journal entries. Prepare monthly general ledger reconciliations. Assist in the coordination of internal and external audits. Prepare and reconcile necessary entries and audit work papers to the general ledger. Prepare and assist with annual reporting requirements. Assist in accounting and reporting research. Serve as a backup for other duties within the Financial Services department as determined by Financial Services management. Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Training in accounting principles and practices is required. Minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
