Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this role, you will play an integral part in managing financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting essential accounting operations. Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts, preparing and adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Conduct thorough account reconciliations, including bank statements and intercompany ledger accounts.
- Maintain and update the general ledger chart of accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in performing initial evaluations of internal controls and recommend improvements.
- Record monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals in alignment with financial reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end close processes.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to maintain financial integrity.
- Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for accurate data management and reporting.
- Monitor and manage financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Provide detailed financial reports and insights to assist in decision-making processes. Requirements
- Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
- Strong proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing general ledger accounts.
- Expertise in preparing journal entries and handling month-end close procedures.
- Familiarity with accounting software, including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
- Solid understanding of accrual accounting and financial reporting principles.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
