Staff Accountant Position Available In Spartanburg, South Carolina

Description We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Roebuck, South Carolina. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger while ensuring proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and investigate any discrepancies to maintain accurate records.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Support audit activities by gathering required documentation and performing fieldwork tasks.
• Collaborate with the team on accounting projects and special initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations by supporting tax preparation activities.
• Utilize accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills to streamline financial processes.
• Perform additional job-related duties and contribute to the success of the accounting department. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including experience with formulas and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping methods and general ledger functions.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting and resolving financial data issues.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
