Accountant Job Description The Accountant is responsible for a range of bookkeeping-related duties, including coding invoices, reconciling invoices, completing month-end close activities, making journal entries, and managing payroll and benefits exposure. Responsibilities Code and reconcile invoices accurately. Complete month-end close activities efficiently. Make accurate journal entries. Manage payroll and benefits exposure. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in accounting records. Prepare and analyze balance sheets. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable. Maintain inventory of office supplies and order supplies as needed. Bind decks for business development staff. Print FedEx labels and schedule deliveries. Process bank deposits manually. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 to 3 years of corporate accounting experience. Demonstrated knowledge of debits and credits. Experience in reconciliations and preparing journal entries. Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable. Understanding of balance sheet management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, pivot tables, creating formulas, and if/then statements. Work Environment This position is on-site in Fort Mill and operates during the first shift.
