Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards while supporting accurate financial reporting. Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer purchase orders and contracts to determine proper revenue recognition in compliance with ASC 606.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales operations, business development, and order management to ensure adherence to contractual terms.
- Prepare journal entries and perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct analytical reviews of revenue streams to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of revenue accounting software.
- Contribute to accurate revenue accounting disclosures for quarterly reporting requirements. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of experience, preferably with a “Big 4” public accounting firm and a U.S. public company client base.
- Proficiency in accounting systems such as Oracle, Salesforce.com, and Hyperion Financial Management is preferred.
- Strong skills in account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets.
- Familiarity with ASC 606 and deferred revenue concepts.
- Experience with month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
