Sr. Accountant Position Available In Bradley, Tennessee

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant to join a manufacturing team in Tennessee. In this role, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling the balance sheet, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of journal entries and monthly reconciliations as part of the general ledger close process.
• Assisting with the preparation and distribution of financial statements.
• Calculating budget variances and reporting on root cause.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts receivable, and payroll accounts.
• Supporting the Controller through documentation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Converting CapEx to fixed assets and ensuring depreciation is calculated correctly.
• Supporting financial audits and tax filing processes.
• Assisting the Controller with accounting projects and initiatives.
• Supporting accounting clerical staff through coordination of activities and response to inquiries.
• Continual improvement of detail-oriented and technical knowledge through participation in educational opportunities and societies.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years of experience in the general ledger.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Demonstrated experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is essential.
• Must have experience in managing General Ledger.
• Proficiency in Journal Entries is required.
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis.
• Extensive experience in conducting Month End Close processes.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite for accounting and financial management.
• Demonstrated experience in handling Fixed Assets.
• Must have experience in managing Monthly Accruals.
