As the Accountant, Publishing you’ll be responsible for assisting the Director, with month-end close process which includes, but is not limited to, journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliations, etc. Works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities What you’ll do: Prepare various monthly journal entries Generate assets and monthly depreciation in the fixed assets module Assist with month end close process. Prepare various general ledger reconciliations monthly Reconcile intercompany transactions monthly Use general accounting knowledge to provide insights and analysis Interface with multiple accounting groups to research and resolve variances Assist with projects as needed Qualifications What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree in same preferred. Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience required. Knowledge of GAAP / industry practices required. Excellent general ledger accounting, reconciliation and analytical skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and SUMIF Outstanding communication and organization skills Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and deliverables simultaneously. Oracle’s NetSuite experience a plus Detail oriented and strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines Experience working in an accounting ERP system •This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days minimum on-site.
