Accounts Payable Accountant Hospitality Company Nashville TN Nashville, TN 37221 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software applications. Duties Process and verify invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Maintain accounts payable records, including journal entries and reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable activities. Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or inquiries regarding payments. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetChex, or ADP to manage transactions efficiently. Support the human resources department with payroll-related tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations where applicable. Requirements Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Paychex, or Ceridian is preferred. Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Previous experience in accounts payable or related financial roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus. Ability to perform journal entries and maintain organized financial records. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with vendors and team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
