Intermediate Accountant Position Available In Davidson, Tennessee

Description We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and offers the opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial systems and processes, with a proven ability to manage complex accounting tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Prepare and review accrual-based financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
• Handle financial transactions and reconciliations using tools such as CaseWare, Concur, and Ceridian.
• Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Ensure timely processing of payroll and related activities using systems like ADP.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing detailed reports and analyses. Requirements
• Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and accrual accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including CaseWare, Concur, and Ceridian.
• Familiarity with financial services tools like ADP for payroll management.
• Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
